Fagun is a critically acclaimed British Actress who has appeared in a number of Hollywood and international films and has starred alongside Academy Award winner Brie Larson, Martin Sheen and Donal Sutherland.
At an early age, Fagun started acting in her local theatres in her home town of Leicester. A straight ‘A’ student, Fagun also studied several particularly challenging disciplines at the same time – so much so that Fagun’s exceptional educational experience was featured in an ITV News segment in the UK and she was spotted by a film director. After auditioning she was cast in her first film ‘Brick Lane’. Fagun also competed against thousands of contestants to win BBC’s ‘Bolly Idol’, a nationwide search for fresh acting talent.
After University, Fagun trained at the world-class Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in classical and contemporary acting. She then began acting on the West End stage in London, performing in a variety of plays spanning a wide chronological and stylistic range, from classical Shakespearean dramas including “Antony and Cleopatra” and “Romeo and Juliet”, to Chekhov’s “The Seagull” and Marber’s “After Miss Julie”, all the way up to state-of-the-art contemporary theatre.
Fagun’s film credits include leading roles and supporting roles in British, Hollywood and Indian cinema. Fagun has starred in Bhopal A Prayer For Rain, a film inspired by a true story, based on the Bhopal disaster, which occurred in India in 1983. The film interweaves between five stories about people from India and the US facing the greatest dilemma of their lives: the biggest industrial disaster in human history, which claimed 10,000 innocent lives within a few hours. One of the stories in the film revolves around the character Rekha, portrayed by Fagun. Fagun played the lead role of Rose in Searching, a film about a young girl who goes on a journey to find her real roots; the title role in Zohra, a film set in the 1960s, which follows 18 year old Zohra’s arrival to London looking for a better life at her Majesty’s invitation; Audrey Winter in Winter Love, among many others.
Fagun has also appeared in numerous commercials around the world, including in Europe, America, Canada and India, for well-known international brands such as Vodafone, IBM and L’Oreal, to name a few.
Most recently, Fagun has played the lead role as head of the British cyber security intelligence who helps to solve a major technology crisis in a British film that will be released next year. As an actor, Fagun concentrates on work which is purpose driven and communicates a wider message.
